Souper Bowl of Caring is comprised of over 6,600 participating groups across all 50 States. In many cities and towns, individuals join together during the time of the Super Bowl to raise cash and food items for organizations and charities that combat hunger across the nation. The Brazos Valley Food Bank strives to alleviate hunger through food distribution programs across six counties.
Last year, the Brazos Valley Food Bank served almost 56,000 individuals, 47% of those individuals were children. The majority of BVFB food is distributed through public food pantries, designed specifically to hand out free food to those in need. Recreation sites, shelters, soup kitchens and other organizations where clients live onsite also receive food from BVFB to feed their clientele. Through those networks and other BVFB initiated programs, the Brazos Valley Food Bank distributed 6,152,671 pounds of food across their areas!
You can help grow the number of meals distributed by joining Souper Bowl of Caring and hosting your own food drive or collection to benefit the Brazos Valley Food Bank or another agency of your choice. Remember, as a Souper Bowl of Caring participant, you decide where to donate your Collections. 100% of everything you raise is donated back into your community. Register today to help #tacklehunger in the Brazos Valley!
