This Year: Collected $624 for FISH Food Pantry , Collected $140 for Crystal Lake Food Pantry, Collected $105 for Marie Wilkinson Food Pantry, Collected $156 for Kendall County Food Pantry
How did you hear of Souper Bowl of Caring?
It was a statewide initiative with other RSVP programs across the state.

What does your group do to participate in the Souper Bowl of Caring movement?
We did food and fund collections for 3 food pantries throughout our service area.

What have you found is most successful for raising cash and food items?
Networking with our volunteer database and advertising it at the local senior centers.

Was there any particularly meaningful or moving story from your collection you would like to share?
The seniors that donated at the McHenry senior center took it very seriously as we billed it as a competition between senior centers. McHenry won!

Tell us a little about where you donate your collection to.
We did food and fund collections for 3 food pantries throughout our service area.

Are there any resources you feel Souper Bowl of Caring could develop to enhance your collection?
The posters were useful.

What does participating in Souper Bowl of Caring mean to your group?
It was an initiative that all volunteers could help with regardless of their physical mobility.

What does it mean to you?
This was a service project which tied in with the Martin Luther King Holiday.
