One way Souper Bowl of Caring motivates young people to make a difference is through our youth programs. Perhaps you've been able to learn more about our 15 national ambassadors serving on this year's National Youth Advisory Board.
And now, we'd like to introduce the 40 high school students making a difference in the greater Houston area through the Local Youth Advisory Board. These students come from many different high schools, backgrounds, neighborhoods and lifestyles; yet they are all committed to tackling hunger and helping neighbors in need.
In mid-September, the LYAB members gathered for a morning of team building, hunger and poverty education, public speaking and Souper Bowl of Caring 101.

As Houston prepares to host the Big Game, LYAB members are preparing to make this season one for the record breaks. Over the next couple of months, the board will attend media training days to prepare to speak on behalf of Souper Bowl of Caring, as well as solidify their own game plans to implement collections and service blitzes in their local communities.
