Why did you choose to join the Souper Bowl of Caring team? The Souper Bowl of Caring team is very well established and fits well with our mission to lead youth to live long values, service and achievement.
What does your group do to participate in the Souper Bowl of Caring movement?Every year, the Sam Houston Area Council Boy Scouts of America has a Scouting for Food service project. Scouts go out into the community in two consecutive weekends. The first weekend, door hangers are distributed to inform the community that the food drive will be happening the next weekend. During the next weekend, Scout return to collect the food that has been set out for the Scouting for Food drive. In recent years we have partnered with the Souper Bowl of Caring for these efforts.

Tell us a little about where you donate your collection to.The donated food goes to local food banks throughout Southeast Texas, most notably the Houston Food Bank and the Montgomery County Food Bank.
Are there any resources you feel Souper Bowl of Caring could develop to enhance your collection? The Souper Bowl of Caring does a tremendous job with our collection. I cannot think of anything else they could do.
What does participating in Souper Bowl of Caring mean to your group? The Souper Bowl of Caring helps provide our Scout with an avenue to give back to their community to help those less fortunate.
