The Young People's Division (YPD) of New Jeremiah African Methodist Episcopal Church, under the leadership of Rev. Johnny O. Johnson, Pastor, participated in the Souper Bowl of Caring-Tackle Hunger by having a Drive-thru Food Drive on January 30, 2021. JoEtta McClain, YPD Director and close friend, Rickey Anderson was posted at the church while friends, family and members of New Jeremiah African Methodist Episcopal drove-thru and dropped off their food items or monetary donations.
The YPD is a division under the umbrella of The Women's Missionary Society; The Lucille Hightower Society with Carolyn P. Johnson, President. Thank you for all your support.
This was a Virtual Drive-thru and the young people sent their pictures wearing their "Souper Bowl of Caring" t-shirt as we practiced social distance during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Thanks to everyone who participated, we were able to increase our giving from last year. We donated 470 items and $250 to Samaritan Food Pantry located in Horn Lake, MS. To God be the Glory!
Thank you again for making this a successful charity mission.
