Souper Sunday is a national event that invites church youth groups from across the county to collect food and donations for local food banks on the Sunday on which the Super Bowl is played. In Frederick, neither rain, sleet, snow, or any other barrier prevented ERUCC's youth from organizing and hosting a Souper Sunday Food drive on February 7. Between 12 noon and 2 pm, ERUCC youth of all ages gathered in a socially distanced manner in the ERUCC rear courtyard to accept donations of foodstuffs and cash from congregation members who drove through . . . and occasionally make and throw snowballs at one another!
What was the final score?
• Two carloads of food
• $980+ in donations
That represents a big win for the Frederick Community Action Agency Food Bank!
